What to Expect:

MON 21 DEC – Breaststroke, Butterfly & IM Turns

AM – Breaststroke & Butterfly Technique

Develop more efficient breaststroke and butterfly technique, including body position, timing, breathing, kick, pull and stroke coordination.

PM – IM Turns with iPad Filming

Master the legal and efficient transitions between butterfly–backstroke, backstroke–breaststroke and breaststroke–freestyle.

Swimmers will work on:

• Approach and timing
• Touch and transition
• Rotation and body position
• Push-off and streamline
• Underwater phase and breakout
• Turn-specific drills
• Filming and technical feedback

TUE 22 DEC – Freestyle, Backstroke & Starts

AM – Freestyle & Backstroke Technique

Improve freestyle and backstroke technique through focused work on body position, rotation, kick, catch, pull, breathing and stroke efficiency.

PM – Racing Dives & Backstroke Starts with iPad Filming

Develop confident, efficient starts, focusing on:

• Starting position
• Reaction time
• Flight phase
• Entry phase
• Underwater phase
• Breakout phase across all four strokes
• Start and reaction drills
• Filming and technical feedback

WED 23 DEC – IM Sets, Race Skills & Racing

AM – IM Sets, Underwaters, Finishes & Relay Takeovers

Bring all four strokes together through focused Individual Medley sets, with an emphasis on underwaters and finishes, alongside dedicated relay takeover practice.

Swimmers will work on:

• Pacing and maintaining technique across all four strokes
• Efficient underwater phases
• Streamlining and underwater kicking
• Breakout timing
• Race finishes and touches
• Relay takeover timing
• Safe and efficient relay exchanges

PM – Race Preparation & Racing with iPad Filming

Put skills into practice through race simulations, focusing on:

• Race strategy and pacing
• Maintaining technique at race speed
• Applying starts, turns, underwaters and finishes in a race
• Racing with confidence under pressure
• Filmed race practice and technical feedback
