Race Preparation Clinic

Our Race Preparation Clinic gives club swimmers the chance to fine-tune their starts, turns, and finishes, while also refining their overall race performance. It’s the perfect opportunity to boost skills and confidence ahead of upcoming competitions.

This clinic is led by Double Olympian, World and European medallist, and Ex-British and European record holder Edward Sinclair, bringing world-class expertise to every session. 

Swimming sessions will cover:

Skills Development

• Race starts, underwater phases & breakouts → maximising speed

• Turns & finishes → improving efficiency and power

Race Preparation

• Broken swims and controlled race-pace practice

• Technique under pressure

• Race tactics and simulations

Workshop will focus on:

As part of the Racing Workshop, Ed will share his expert advice on nutrition and mindset, helping swimmers understand how to fuel properly and approach races with confidence and focus.

Race-specific land training will include:

Land training will teach swimmers how to warm up effectively before racing, while also covering reaction drills, explosive power exercises, core activation for streamlining, and mobility work to support speed and efficiency in the pool.
